HELP  :o

After i have installed Framaroot (1.9.3) and run "installSU" and reset the Asteroid Smart. "SuperSU" is not showing i Applications.
I have tried to factory reset the device and do it on a clean system, but still no luck.

Is there any other way to root the device?

UPDATE: Got i to work whit Framaroot 1.4.1   :D

Hi, I have just joined the forum and would kindly like to know once I have had my smart installed in my car on friday should i download the  version of framaroot as per your original install instructions from 2 years ago or the latest version which on their site is Framaroot-1.9.3.apk. Could you kindly advise me if the instructions are the same now and should I load the latest version. Also I just wanted to find out if anybody has used the new software and can confirm Android phone users can now have their music seen on the unit when they connect to the micro usb hub ? kind regards and thanks very much.Perry

Hi all,

Is just rooted my device using the method describes at the beginning of this post. I'm on. Android version 2.3.38.22, which is the latest version I could get my hands on here. I used framarot 1.1.4 and everything is working just fine. I also got market place running (still waiting for updating to the Play Store) and that works to.

But I have a question: is there a way to uninstall iGo? I'm not using it so it's just taking vulerable memory space. Just hit uninstall Fernhoutl doesn't work for me. Happy if anyone knows a way.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is a way ... When you have a rooted device, install eg. Titanium Backup app (or another app it can unistall systems app), and simply uninstall the parrot iGO.

In case of installation of own version iGO, it necessary to perform "factory reset" procedure to delete all residual files related to system installation of parrot iGO (in opposite case the installation of new iGO will crash with message "Application not installed".

Thanks! I tried it and it worked perfectly. I got rid of iGo and that other piece of bloatware (can't remeber the name anymore).

I also can recommend Asteroid Tweaker which can be found here http://fab-uleux.com/ Give it a spin, it gives more control over your beloved Asteroid device.

Hi thanks for the rooting write up, my first attempt so I am following it to the letter. In your post you refer to Root Browser Lite, does Root Explorer perform the same function, because Root Browser Lite was not one of your attachments.
Appreciate the help
