Upgrding the SD card
« on: June 22, 2015, 09:12:54 PM »
Hi All
I want to upgrade the SD card to 32GB. Do I need to re-establish the original file structure on the new blank SD card??

I'm kind of a noob here, but I just did what you said. I got my Asteroid Smart used so didn't have to do anything except wipe out all the previous settings. I still have the original 8GB SD card though because iGO is licensed in such a way as to tie it to that SD card alone, which ticked me off. And to top it all off they only sell it on 8GB SD cards in the store. I don't know if you noticed, but swapping out the SD card is a pain. They should have either designed it with 2 SD slots or allowed the license for iGO to be tied to the unit itself. Just my thoughts. Good luck out there.
